Lead Senior Applied AI Engineer

The role

A senior engineering role in Hyderabad for an experienced applied AI engineer who will lead agentic AI work at a technology company. You will set engineering standards for the team and build safe, reliable AI agents using LangGraph and the Model Context Protocol.

You will lead the design of multi-step reasoning chains and agentic RAG pipelines built on LangGraph, with structured outputs at each step. You will also set the safeguards for every AI agent, including defence against prompt injection, mitigation of hallucinations and management of context windows.

A large part of the day goes to reviewing code, mentoring Applied AI Engineers in Hyderabad and setting the standards the team follows. You will connect AI components to the Model Context Protocol so that agents draw on one grounded knowledge base with auditable outputs. You will also keep testing prompts, retrieval methods and model settings to improve accuracy, latency and reliability at scale.

Working with partner teams, you will put AI services into CI/CD pipelines with proper deployment, observability and compliance with EU AI Act and DORA requirements. The role is in the office, on the day shift, in Hyderabad.

You should bring five to ten years of hands-on experience building production AI or ML systems, with a degree in computer science, AI or a related field. Expert Python, real use of LangGraph and agentic RAG, and working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD are needed. Experience with Anthropic Claude, GCP, GitHub Actions, DevSecOps or regulated financial services is a plus.

• Experience in regulated industries (financial services, EU AI Act, DORA)
• German language skills
